The education page is portfolio content tied to my time in higher education. I currently hold an HNC in Music and am at present studying for an HND. Here you will be able to keep track of my progress or look back on my previously completed work.
Killing Time - (Learning Walk Interpretation Piece)
For our first assignment this year we were asked to take Jacek Yerka's Learning Walk (pictured in the thumbnail to the left) and turn it into a piece of music or soundscape as we saw fit. I decided to take the work very literally and imagined what it would be like to encounter this creature. We were asked to sit on our ideas for as long as we possibly could so that they could shift and change, but me being myself I couldn't help but get started on my initial idea as soon as I had it. As such, the process of documenting how my idea changed shifted more into just documenting how it shifted as I did the actual work. In the end I went from the initial idea of an encounter with a misunderstood beast to a Nobuo Uematsu-inspired RPG boss battle theme.
